This course covers Windows 10 network configuration from every angle: IP configuration and name resolution, network troubleshooting techniques, wireless and VPN connections, and remote access via consoles, command prompts, and graphical tools.

After you’ve installed Windows 10, configured the interface and set up your devices and storage, it’s time to connect. In this course, Configuring Windows 10 Connectivity, you will gain the ability to set up, deploy, and troubleshoot just about every possible type of network connection. First, you will learn to configure IP addressing and name resolution, using both graphical and command-line tools to verify and diagnose low-level connectivity. Next, you will see how to configure Wi-Fi connections including tunneling and authentication protocols, and create the many different types of Virtual Private Networks supported in Windows. Then, you’ll discover how to deploy Wi-Fi and VPN connections to users with tools like Windows Configuration Designer and Intune. Finally, you will explore how to administer remote Windows devices through the use of MMC consoles, PowerShell, Remote Desktop and Remote Assistance, as well as the newer Quick Assist app. When you are finished with this course, you will have the skills and knowledge to set up Windows 10 network connections so that your systems connect reliably with the rest of your organization and you can then manage ongoing maintenance and updates as explained in a later course. This course aligns with the learning objectives for the new MD-100 exam to obtain certification as a Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
